Draft call for March 08 node.l events and updates

In March and April 08 there are a number of events and activities being independently organised. In recent node.l meetings the suggestion has been made to link up, share our resources and energies, and turn this period into an ‘interim’ but official season under the node.l umbrella.

Aims:

  • To get everyone using the node.l website again on an ongoing basis from March as a live tool for project and event information.
  • To provoke input on the node.l discussion list, where these ideas and decisions are being discussed
  • To jointly market this interim season with the node.l brand by clubbing together on a poster/mailer

So far the following things are happening around that time: OKCon – the Open Knowledge Conference, node.Stockholm!, Disclosures (socially engaged art and networked/tactical media practices) at Gasworks, new documentary workshops at Deckspace, Open in Process at bodydataspace (tbc), Technology for Social Action Workshop, [add others!]

…and the suggestion is that everyone adds themselves and links up.

What you need to do:

  • Update all your info with current projects, etc, at the node.l website
  • Re-join the node.l discussion list and participate, disagree, discuss. Use it or lose it!
  • Send info (even if not entirely defined) about any projects you’d like to be involved in the ‘interim’ season to: annacolin AT gasworks DOT org DOT uk
